By agreeing to these conditions you certify that the person booking this room is 21 years of age or older. Please contact us if you have specific questions.

 

Deposit

 

We collect a one night deposit to hold the guest room and the remaining balance will be charged 72 hours prior to arrival. Once the remaining balance is charged, it is non-refundable per our cancellation policy.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

Regardless of circumstances, reservations must be canceled or modified 3 days prior to arrival (latest 4pm hotel time) to avoid forfeit of the total cost of the stay.  If reservations need to be modified within the 72 hours, regardless of reason, it will be subject to a $50 fee and based on availability. Two night minimum restriction enforced if needed. Refunds are not given for early departures or shortening a stay. 

 

Check-in / Check-out

 

With our keyless entry system self check-in is a breeze! Each guest is assigned a unique access code and all rooms are clearly labeled for your convenience. Access codes to the doors become active at 4:00pm on check-in day and will expire at 11:00am on the day you are set to check-out, unless prior arrangements have been made.

 

Pets

 

Pets are not permitted on property. If a pet is in your possession and/or in your room without the consent from a member of our staff, there is a $250 mandatory cleaning fee and the pet must be removed from the property.

We are happy to accept your Service Dog. Please let us know that your Service Dog will be joining you during your check in process. Please note that Emotional Support Animals are NOT considered Service Animals and will NOT be accepted.

 

Caffeine Fix

 

While we don’t serve breakfast at the Hotel we encourage our guests to take advantage of the many exceptional culinary options the Seacoast has to offer! See our list of recommendations. We do provide light snack options along with a Nespresso coffee bar, organic teas, filtered & sparkling water (feel free to bring your re-usable bottle!) juice & ice—all available 24/7 in the main lobby.

 

“Inside” Voices

 

In terms of noise, please be courteous of your fellow guests. Quiet hours are from 10 pm - 8 am. Excessive exterior and common area noise is not permitted. No gatherings / parties in the common area.

 

Adults Preferred

 

We require that all guests be at least 21 years of age to book a reservation at Hotel Thaxter. Hotel Thaxter may not be suitable for children under 12 years of age in terms of safety (think sharp corners and fine art!) or serenity (think “quiet reprieve”).

 

Damages

 

All of our guest rooms are smoke free. Please abstain from lighting candles or incense as any smoke may trigger the fire alarm system. We will charge a $250 fee for lighting candles or smoking in guest rooms. If these conditions are not met you may be asked to leave the inn and/or pay a fee to cover additional costs of cleaning or damages. Hotel Thaxter is not responsible for lost or left behind items.

 

Taxes & Fees

 

By booking directly with us, you can be sure you’re getting the best price available & avoid paying hidden fees or non refundable rates to a third party booking engine. We simply charge a state mandated NH Rooms & Meals Tax at a rate of 8.5% which will be calculated and clearly noted during the booking process.

 

Parking

 

Hotel Thaxter offers a reserved parking service at $40/ night/ vehicle for small suvs and compact vehicles between the hours of 8am-8pm. To reserve this service, please contact Hotel Thaxter directly at 603-294-4292. Alternatively, please see our close proximity self parking options here.

 

Gift Certificates

 

A Hotel Thaxter gift certificate makes an excellent gift! Unfortunately, once a gift certificate is purchased, we cannot offer a refund. You can rest easy knowing our gift certificates do not have an expiration date. Buy one today!
